CANTORÍA DE LA MERCED, ARGENTINIA

Christianity

Cantoría de la Merced

Cantoría de la Merced was founded on March 5, 2004, under the direction of Santiago Ruiz and with the support of Fray Pablo Ordoñe on behalf of the Order of Mercy. Since then he has tackled a wide and varied choral repertoire and a large number of musical projects, among which many national, American and world premieres stand out. Cantoría de la Merced has managed to become a provincial, national and international benchmark for choral music, obtaining important awards in national and international competitions and following a path of continuous growth, fruit of the energy and constant work of the conductor and its members.

The project is characterized by the enthusiastic search for new challenges and learning, understanding music as a mean to promote freedom, considering choral activity as an optimal space for cultural diffusion through expression and emotion.

Our mission is to explore choral repertoire of all genres, styles and periods, aspiring to be an internationally recognized choir for its versatility, seeking an original sound result for each work.
